More About St Andrews KindergartenParents Welcome! Our programs are open for parents to become involved at any time. Working parents can drop in if they get the occasional day off, while others are invited to participate in the duty roster.
We run a number of days and evenings which other family members may attend such as our "Getting to know you" session, Special Lunch days or "Big Boys Night Out" for the males of the family. Grandparents even have events just for them. Each family is also asked to assist in maintaining the kindergarten environment through participation in working bees. LandcareJean Irvine from Landcare visited the children at our old premises in Victoria Street, to help them plant native seeds. The children cared for those over a few months, then planted them in a reforestation area on Lardner's Track. Children from St. Andrews have been involved in this project for the past four years.
Our Preschool group was nominated for a Regional Landcare Award for the ongoing reforestation project in Lardner's Track. We were one of the six finalists. ![]() |
