All children are enrolled in their proper chronological age group using the September 1 cut-off date.

Early Bird care is available beginning at 8:00am.

5K is full of the building blocks that children need to grow into readers and writers. Our days are busy with rhyming, phonics, sight words, word families, predictable sentences, and so many stories. We write responses to books and about things that are important to us. In math, we develop our number sense and one-to-one correspondence as we learn to recognize quantities. We begin to add and subtract and understand place value.

Our 5K teacher is Laurie Sibley. She holds a BA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and an MA in Literacy. Her teaching style is relaxed and creative, with humor sprinkled over everything. The students meet as a large group on the carpet while they share the pen or read aloud. They divide into small guided reading groups at the table while the rest of the class rotates through Stations full of fun learning activities. She teaches with the end in sight, so your child will be ready and eager for first grade.
